Singing Bowl Basics Workshop

This beginning-level workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to learn to play a metal or crystal singing bowl. Learn about the different types of bowls and basic playing techniques and get plenty of time to practice playing. All attendees receive exclusive discounts on crystal singing bowls!

Participants will learn:

• How to choose the best bowl(s) to start with.
• All about crystal and metal (Himalayan) singing bowls.
• The origin and history of all singing bowls.
• Effective techniques for playing crystal and metal singing bowls.
• The differences between types of crystal singing bowls (gemstone, frosted, and clear).
• What differentiates quality in crystal singing bowls.
• Which mallets and which are best to use.

Participants will be guided through effective playing methods for crystal bowls, which can be used for meditation, personal enjoyment, or other self-wellness practices. The workshop ends with participants receiving a therapeutic-style sound bath with gongs and crystal singing bowls.

Will I learn to play sound baths with crystal bowls in this workshop?

No, this workshop does not include how to play sound baths. If you’re looking to play sound baths, then our Group Soundbath Player™ Certification Course is the course for you.

Will I learn about the crystal singing bowls that are made of gemstones?

Yes, this workshop includes information about all types of crystal singing bowls, including gemstones bowls.

Do I need to have singing bowls before the workshop?

No, you don’t need to have any bowls and it’s probably best to wait until you take the workshop to get them. Participants will be offered special discounts at the workshop and will be better prepared to choose their bowls afterward.

Will I be able to play a singing bowl for other people after this workshop?

Once you learn how to play a singing bowl, you can play for yourself or others. You won’t learn how to create a sound bath experience, but you will be able to play a bowl.

I already have singing bowls. Can I bring my bowls to play?

No, please leave your singing bowls at home. You will be playing our bowls in the workshop.

Will you be offering this workshop online?

Yes, an online-only version is coming out in 2025.
